About
Clare Johnson is one of the many artists working in the Tweed Coast of NSW. Her work is reguarly exhibited at Curious Art Gallery, one of the growing number of Tweed Shir/Kingscliff Art Galleries. She established herself however some years ago as an artist in her hometown of Newcastle, Australia.
Upon moving to the Far North Coast she joined up with the Curious Art Movement where she acquired further valuable experience as an artist and a Gallery Director. Following an exhibition at the Curious Art Gallery in 2005 entitled 'Iconic' she soon gained quite a reputation and following for her whimsical watercolour wash, pen and ink drawings of her created lovable character, and international adventurer Miss Prissy. (a.k.a. Miss P.)
Today she has an ever expanding series of Miss Prissy's World prints, originals and cards. Clare's artwork can also be seen at the many Saturday and Sunday markets around the Tweed and Gold Coast.

She has work published in the book "In Touch" featuring 50 women artists of the Caldera region in the Tweed Shire. A book launch was held at Salt Resort located near Kingscliff in September 2010.
Miss Prissy's World series work continues to gain an ever increasing wide audience following. Plans are in the pipeline for a long awaited book. New work will feature in her solo exhibition “Because it was a Tuesday...”
